As part of this, the Employer and Economic Engagement (EEE) directorate was formed following the appointment of the Pro Vice Chancellor EEE in late February 2016. A new strategy for external engagement has been developed, which prioritises building strategic multifaceted strategic relationships, known as Compacts, with organisations. To support this aim, the EEE Directorate is establishing a new Compacts and Commercial Services team to drive forward strategic partnering in the following priority sectors: University now wishes to recruit a Compact Manager for the Materials and Engineering sectors
The Strategic Partnership Manager - Materials and Engineering will lead the University’s external engagement activity with key external partners in these sectors, bringing a high level of sector expertise and knowledge. The successful candidate will be familiar with and advise on sectoral policy and engagement practices. They will also establish sectoral intelligence which will be used to identify target organisations and maximise the outcomes from these relationships with the University across its portfolio.
The successful candidate will have expert, evidence-based sectoral knowledge and a strong understanding of sectoral trends, challenges and opportunities. This will bring focus on and clarity to the sector needs and opportunities for both the University and its partners that will result in long term mutually beneficial strategic relationships. Your track record of initiating, facilitating and maintaining profitable commercial partnerships will be demonstrable and exemplary, highlighted by your successful experience of working in a product and/or service led organisation.
